MCP Laser Cutting Service
LASER CUTTING IS A FABRICATION PROCESS THAT USES A HIGH-FOCUSED LASER BEAM TO CUT LINES & CURVES, ALSO ALLOWING HOLES AND CUTOUTS TO BE CREATED WITHIN A WORKPIECE. THE PROCESS PRODUCES PRECISE SHAPES AND DESIGNS WITH MINIMAL MATERIAL WASTE AND TOLERANCES AS TIGHT AS 0.005 INCH ON A WIDE RANGE OF MATERIALS.
"Only limited to your imagination"
Multi-Craft is pleased to offer laser cutting & etching ( surface engraving ) services for custom parts and shapes, utilizing several standard stock materials, such as Acrylic / ABS / Styrene. Multi-Craft is also able to process materials such as gasket / fabric / paper / wood, but not limited to only these substrates. Our services are ideal for prototyping, one-off parts or small production runs as well as volume projects.
Multi-Craft is able to offer multiple machines with work areas ranging from 18” x 24” up to 80” x 120” allowing us to focus on multiple projects at the same time, or using our resources to process large projects in a shorter time frame. Our machines are capable of lasering up to 1" thick Acrylic. Another feature the machines offer is camera registration ( i-dots) for pre-printed sheets. Multi-Craft utilizes Corel Draw ( .CDR ) as our main program platform, which allows us to import several file types .PDF /.DXF (polyline) / .EPS / .PLT / .AI / and more. Each project offers its own unique design complexity and processing techniques, which we attempt to anticipate while processing each project.
Laser cutting turns your 2D vector designs into custom cut plastic products ready for immediate use, or an exact fit into your assembly process. Vinyl Graphics or paint/silk screen can be applied prior to or after cutting, whichever best fits the project requirements While designing projects, it is best to use a continuous closed loop vector line for cut parts, no fill needed- but can be used to define a section or part detail. When etching graphics, we can use the same vector format or in some detailed projects, pictures files can be used.
